Pontoon Beach, IL (September 26, 2008) A solid field of 117 racecars were on hand for Season Championship Night at Tri-City Speedway. Billy Faust secured the Super Late Model Championship as he claimed his seventh feature win of 2008 at Tri-City Speedway. Faust led the entire twenty-five lap feature event, but was constantly pressured by Chad Zobrist. Zobrist stayed right in the tracks of Faust the entire way and was able to get along side Faust on several occassions, but Faust held him off to pick up the win. Bryan Collins charged from the eighth starting spot to finish in the third position behind Faust and Zobrist. Billy Laycock would finish in the fourth spot with Tim Manville rounding out the top five. The top five in the Super Late Model point standings were Billy Faust winning the championship, Chad Zobrist finishing second, Mark Voigt third, Tim Manville fourth and Billy Laycock and Mark Oller finished the season tied for fifth in the standings.

Mike Harrison completed the clean sweep in the Modified division as he won his heat race, the dash and the feature event. Harrison, who started seventh in the main event because of the top six in the point standings being locked into the first three rows, stormed to the front at the drop of the green flag and passed Ray Walsh and Bobby Regot to take over the top spot on lap eleven. Harrison would pull away to a convincing victory. Walsh would finish in the second spot with Brandon Lennox finishing third. Bobby Martintoni would finish in the fourth position and Kelly Devall completed the top five. Tommie Seets, Jr. won the STLRacing.com Hard Charger award as he finished sixth after starting back in the twentieth position.

Bobby Martintoni secured the 2008 Modified Track Championship at Tri-City Speedway. Ray Walsh would finish second in the title chase with Tommie Seets, Jr. finishing third, Mike Harrison fourth and Bobby Regot fifth. However, Seets and Harrison are not track members and will not receive any of the contingency prizes for finishing in those spots.

Bobby Dauderman completed a dominating season in the U.M.P. Pro Late Model division. Dauderman won his twelfth feature event on 2008 at Tri-City Speedway in just sixteen starts as he led all twenty laps of the main event and never had a serious challenge for the lead. Aaron Heck would finish second with Casey Montague finishing third. Gordy Gundaker would finish in the fourth spot with Tyler Deibert completing the top five. Chuck Adams won the STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award by finishing seventh after starting thirteenth.

Dauderman was crowned the 2008 U.M.P. Pro Late Model Track Champion with Aaron Heck finishing second, Daniel Heck third, Tyler Deibert fourth and Casey Montague fifth.

Josh Jackson won his seventh U.M.P. Street Stock feature event of 2008 at Tri-City Speedway as he held off the challenge of Danny Ems to claim the victory. Richie Gabriel was third with Andy Beavers and Steve Beach completing the top five. David Walker won the STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award by finishing eighth after starting twenty-third.

Jackson also claimed his second consecutive U.M.P. Street Stock Track Championship at Tri-City Speedway. Danny Ems finished second in the points chase with Richie Gabriel taking third. Tommy Gegg would finish fourth and Andy Beavers fifth. Gegg is also not a track member and will not receive any contingency awards.

Jason Schmidt won the Factory Stock main event and claimed the track championship as well. Rob Shaw would finish second with Ryan Eilers taking third. Andy Hellman finished in the fourth spot with Trevor Isaak finishing fifth. Chris Williams won the STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award as he finished sixth after starting twentieth in the main event. Finishing behind Schmidt in the Championship battle was Bob Zbinden taking second, Chris Williams third, Travis Horner fourth and Trevor Isaak fifth. Williams is not a track member however.
