The track held the Russ Wallace Memorial in honor of Russ Wallace, who passed away unexpectedly last Fall. The Super Late Model feature event provided one of the best races of the season on the new 3/8 mile oval. PHOTOS FROM TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY Pontoon Beach, IL (May 28, 2006) Bill Frye of Greenbrier, AR put on a strong performance as he held off all challengers and led the entire fifty laps of the FED-EX 50 at Tri-City Speedway. Pontoon Beach, IL (June 5, 2005) A busy and action packed night of racing was on tap at Tri-City Speedway, with three feature events having to be made up from the previous week after rain shortened the program last Sunday.
