Pontoon Beach, IL (October 3, 2009) Jared Landers of Blackwell, Arkansas roared to victory in the UMP DIRTcar Modified Mania main event. Landers started in the sixth position and was in second place before one lap was completed and was the leader of the race by lap two. Landers proceeded to lead the remainder of the forty lap even enroute to victory. Landers made it two in a row at Tri-City Speedway as he won the opening night event the night before. Randy Korte would finish in the second spot with Mike Harrison taking third. Harrison started all the way back in the twentieth position and blew through the field to finish third. Ray Guss, Jr. took the fourth spot with Ray Walsh rounding out the top five.
In the UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model division, Dennis Erb, Jr. of Carpentersville, Illinois took the victory. Mark Burgtorf led the majority of the event with Erb making a last lap pass to take the win. Frank Heckenast, Jr. would finish third with Randy Korte fourth. Rusty Schlenk completed the top five.

The 2009 UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model National Championship was on the line in the final event of the 2009 season for the UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model divsion. The night started with Tait Davenport of Paducah, Kentucky leading the National standings by two points over Alhambra, Illinois' driver Bobby Dauderman. In order for Dauderman to win the Championship, he'd need to finish third or better and have Davenport finish behind him. Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois dominated the event as he took a commanding victory by a full straight-away over the second place finisher. But that left a fierce battle for second through fifth that would have a direct impact on the Championship. Aaron Heck, Mark Oller, Bobby Dauderman and Bryan Collins fought back and forth, swapping the positions around lap after lap. In the end, Bryan Collins would cross the line in second with Bobby Dauderman taking third, which was exactly where he needed to finish to secure the Championship over Davenport. Oller would cross the line fourth with Aaron Heck fifth. Casey Montague would cross the stripe in sixth with Daniel Heck seventh and Davenport eighth. At the conclusion of the event, UMP DIRTcar Officials decided they wanted the engine out of the car driven by Bryan Collins to take back with them for a complete tear down and inspection. The car owner declined to allow the UMP DIRTcar Officials to take the engine and therefore Bryan Collins was disqualified. That moved everyone that finished behind him up one position in the finishing order. It had no impact on the 2009 UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model Championship as Dauderman had already secured the Championship with his third place finish.

Mike Monnig of Big Spring, Missouri held off the fierce challenge from Bryan Singleton to earn the UMP DIRTcar Limited Modified main event victory. Dan Bimson crossed the line in third with Billy DeRoy securing the fourth spot. Brad McKinnon rounded out the top five.
