The MARS DIRTcar Series will take on the best of the UMP DIRTcar Series this Friday August 5, 2011 at the Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL.  The late models will be ‘topless’ for this race, as the roofs will be removed, giving the race fans a unique view of their favorite drivers.

Drivers expected for this $3,000 to win and $400 to start race include current point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO;  6-time and defending champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO; 2009 Rookie of the Year Eric Turner of Springfield, MO; Jeremy Payne of Springfield, MO; Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO; Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, AR; Brandon McCormick of Lebanon, MO; Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, MO; RC Whitwell of Tucson, AZ; Leroy Johnson of Springfield, MO; Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL; Tim Manville of Highland, IL; Bryan Collins of Ellsbury, MO; Billy Laycock of Marine, IL; Mark Voight of Marine, IL; Chad Zobrist of Highland, IL; Rodney Melvin of Benton, IL; Craig Smith of Godfrey, IL; Billy Faust of Highland, IL; Rickey Frankel of Quincy, IL; Tim Ratajczyk of Millstadt, IL plus many more.
