Tri-City Speedway forced to push back opening day to May 13th!
Pontoon Beach, IL (May 6th, 2011) The extreme weather and very wet conditions have slowed down the progress on the construction projects at Tri-City Speedway and forced promoters Tammy & Kevin Gundaker to push back opening night until Friday, May 13th. The two day Nothern All Star Late Model Series event and UMP Modified special scheduled for this Thursday and Friday has been canceled. Mother Nature slows down construction & forces Tri-City Speedway to push back season opener 2 weeks!
Pontoon Beach, IL (April 1, 2011) Tri-City Speedway took on a huge off season task of completely rebuilding all of their concessions, bathrooms and offices over the off season and Mother Nature has done her best to slow these projects down. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Sanction Tri-City Speedway’s Biggest Event Ever
WAYCROSS, GA (February 24, 2011) - Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, along with Tri City (IL) Speedway promoters, Kevin and Tammy Gundaker have announced that the series will sanction the biggest race in speedway history. It was announced at The World 100 that Kevin Gundaker will be inducted into the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2011.

Jesse Hockett (1983 – 2010)
All of us at Tri-City Speedway send our thoughts and prayers to the Hockett Family. It was such a honor to have Jesse and his family compete at our faciltity. His competitive each night and the excitement he brought to the fans was incrediable. He was amazing to watch and a true gentleman to be around. He will be missed dearly.
