Nikko Smith named Master of Ceremonies for Fed Ex 50!
Pontoon Beach, IL (September 17, 2007) Nikko Smith, a singer/songwriter who was the ninth-place finalist on American Idol 4, was named as Master of Ceremonies for the Fed Ex 50 on Saturday, September 22nd at Tri-City Speedway. Nikko will also sing the National Anthem and sign autographs from 5:30-6:00pm.
Nikko, the son of Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, is currently working on an album entitled "The Revolution" which is due to be released sometime next year.
On October 26, 2006 Smith performed the American national anthem prior to Game 4 of the World Series, at Busch Stadium, home of the St Louis Cardinals for whom his father had played 15 seasons.
The $10,000 to win Fed Ex 50 features the UMP DIRTcar Late Model Series along with the $5,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Modified Mania.
General admission on Saturday will be $25 with kids 12 and under FREE with a paying adult.
